Dextra Fortec®
Silva Global supplies the Dextra Fortec® parallel threaded mechanical splicing system for concrete reinforcing bars from Ø12 to 50mm (ASTM #4 to #18). Fortec® uses a patented cold forging process to enlarge the bar end before threading, maintaining the full cross section area and ductility of the parent bar throughout the splice. Fortec® couplers are designed and manufactured in compliance with Eurocode 2, BS 8110, DIN 1045, ACI 318, IBC, AASHTO and ASME Sec III Div 2.

Standard Splice (Type A): Bar rotation until full thread engagement.
Position Splice (Type B & C): Where bars cannot be rotated. Type C adds a lock nut to fix bar position.
Bridging Splice: Where bars cannot be brought butt to butt.
Transition Splice: For bars of different diameters.
Headed Bars: CE-marked alternative to hooked bars in congested areas.
Weldable Couplers: Where rebar must be welded to structural steel.
