Silva Global supplies the Dextra Fortec® parallel threaded mechanical splicing system for concrete reinforcing bars from Ø12 to 50mm. Fortec® uses a cold forging process to enlarge the bar end before threading, maintaining the full nominal cross section area and ductility of the bar.

- One standard coupler for all splicing requirements (Standard and Position).
- Easy installation with no torque wrench required.
- No reduction of bar cross section area or ductility.
- Type 2 coupler suitable for seismic areas, tested under reverse cyclic conditions.
- Parallel thread eliminates risk of thread mismatch and cross-threading.

Complete Fortec® System Range
Standard Splice (Type A): Bar rotation until full thread engagement.
Position Splice (Type B & C): Where bars cannot be rotated. Type C adds a lock nut to fix bar position.
Bridging Splice: Where bars cannot be brought butt to butt.
Transition Splice: For bars of different diameters.
Headed Bars: CE-marked alternative to hooked bars in congested areas.
Weldable Couplers: Where rebar must be welded to structural steel.
